Privacy Policy.

KOLflow is a read-only directory. We require no account, no email, no payment. This page explains the very little data the service touches.

What we do not collect

  • No name, email, phone, or address
  • No location, contacts, photos, calendar, or files
  • No advertising identifiers (IDFA / GAID)
  • No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs
  • No social-login data — we have no login at all

What we do collect

Anonymous server logs. Our hosting provider (Netlify) records standard HTTP request data — IP address, requested path, user agent, timestamp — retained for 7 days for abuse prevention and uptime debugging.

Anonymous device token (push notifications only). If you enable push notifications inside the iOS or Android app, your device generates an opaque token (APNs token on iOS, FCM token on Android) and the app sends it to our server so we can deliver new-headline alerts. The token is not linked to your identity and can be removed by disabling notifications in your device settings or uninstalling the app.

Locally stored preferences. Your language choice and any KOL bookmarks are stored on your device via localStorage / iOS UserDefaults. They never leave your device.

Third-party services

  • Netlify (web + API hosting) — receives standard HTTP request logs
  • Apple APNs / Google FCM (push delivery) — receive the headline payload when sending you a notification
  • Google AI Studio (Gemini) — generates the daily headline from public crypto data. No user data is sent.
  • Public content APIs — X (Twitter), YouTube, Substack, Mirror, Farcaster public endpoints are queried by our server, not by your device

Children's privacy

KOLflow is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone, child or adult.

Your choices

  • Disable push notifications in your device's Settings → Notifications → KOLflow
  • Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data
  • Clear browser data to remove web preferences

Data retention

Server logs: 7 days. Push tokens: retained until you uninstall or disable notifications. Local preferences: retained on your device until you clear them.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change what we collect, we will post the updated policy here and bump the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after the change means acceptance.
